The new Duster proudly asserts its reinvented design.<\/p><blockquote><p><strong>David Durand, Dacia Design Director: \u201cEven before working on the style of the new Duster, we worked on its proportions in order to give it a strong stance&#8230; Starting by finding the right proportions avoids having to resort to styling tricks afterwards. . \u00bb<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><p>Go to the essential, eliminate the artificial: this Dacia philosophy also applies to the design of the new Duster.<\/p><p>The designers started working from simple volumes: the passenger compartment, the hood, the wings, etc. They then assembled all these elements in a clean, sharp way, to give the model a modern and constructed style, with deliberately taut and assertive lines.<\/p><p>The simplicity of the shapes and volumes contributes to the power of the design: very vertical front, wheel arches with clean chamfered cutaways, wide tailgate at the rear, side glazing which extends in a single movement of the bow at the stern.<\/p><p>The new Duster is stylishly protected by a real belt which goes all around the vehicle, without any interruption: the side sill protections extend onto the emblematic identity parts of the new Duster, then around the wheel arches which are them -same connected to the front and rear shields.
