Engineers met this challenge with innovative design elements, including: a completely flat underbody, invisible to the eye but essential for managing airflow under the vehicle for both aerodynamic and off-road protection; Active Grille Shutters (AGS), discreetly integrated into the bumper, which reduce drag by nearly two points at high speeds by closing when cooling is not needed; aerodynamically optimized wheels, combining a rugged appearance with efficient airflow channeling; and rear-end enhancements such as sharp trailing edges, quarter-window appendages, a performance roof spoiler, and functional air curtains in the rear wheel arches—features more associated with high-performance sports cars than SUVs.
